FISHING PACKAGES FOR THE YEAR 2006/7 WILL INCLUDE:

  • All necessary ground transportation.
  • Accommodations in our own private villa or the Villas del Pacifico
    Resort. All-inclusive/all meals, open bar National drinks, weekend entertainment and disco at the resort. Private villa comes with your own chef, waitress and maid, International liquors severed.
  • Guided fishing (Captain and two mates) with the use of The Greatsailfishing Companies fly-fishing, light spinning and conventional tackle.
  • Two sets of flies, leader and tippet.
  • Lunch, snacks, fresh fruit and beverages on the boat.
  • Final night at the Inter-Continental Hotel in Guatemala City or the Casa Santo Domingo in La Antigua. Both 5 Star.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR VACATIONS

Documents: A valid passport is required to enter Guatemala. Tourist cards are provided on your flight to Guatemala. It is your responsibility for obtaining a valid passport. If you don't already have a valid passport, please allow yourself between 4 to 5 weeks.

Note: No shots are required to enter Guatemala.

Typical Airfare: Typically $400 - $600 from gateway cities (Miami, Atlanta, Houston and L.A.) to Guatemala City, depending on the season.

 

Fishing Season: The prime time for Pacific Sailfish is between the months of November and mid-May . Prime Blue/Black Marlin fishing is between the months of June and September, prime time for Yellowfin Tuna occurs between September and December. Dorado are caught year round. In shore fishing is productive all year with prime time Roosterfish and Snapper fishing between June and January.

Easter week. Note, these prices include the use of our vast array of fly-fishing rigs and light spinning tackle. Please remember that your party will be pampered in your own private house, one group per house.

RATES INCLUDE:

Greeted at Guatemala's International airport with round trip ground transfers to Sailfish Villas, accommodations at your choice of private villa ; meals and open bar (local liquor and national beers) at your villa, daily transfers between your villa and the Pez Vela Marina, private charter fishing including captain/2 mates, the use of conventional tackle/ lures and bait, Last night accommodations at the Hotel Real Inter-Continental in Guatemala City or the Casa Santo Domingo in La Antigua, this is to accommodate next day early flight departures. Both the Real Inter Continental Hotel and the Casa Santo Domingo are 5 star hotels.

Typical Itinerary

Day1: Arrive in Guatemala City. Reception by a Sailfish Villas English speaking staff or owner. Transfer to your choice of stay. Ride takes about 11/2 hours, cold drinks served in our air-conditioned van.

Days 2-4: Full fishing days. You and your party will be served a full American breakfast before transfer to the marina. Typical fishing day is 7am until 4 or 4:30pm lunch and beverages will be served on board the
sportfishing boats. In addition to the abundant sailfish population, you will have the opportunity to catch blue/black marlin, yellowfish tuna, dorado,
roosterfish and wahoo.

Day 4 if your flight back home leaves before 11:00am your last night will be at the Real Inter-Continental in Guatemala City or the Casa Santo Domingo in La Antigua.

Day 5: Depart for USA.

Languages - Our staff members are bi-lingual so don't worry about speaking Spanish.

International airfare to/from Guatemala City, rental fly gear charged at $30 per person per day, meals, bar tabs and personal expenses in Guatemala City or La Antigua, departure/airport improvement tax; gratuities to captains/mates, staff or drivers.

Note: We understand that flights can be late at no fault of our clients; however, we need to charge a late arrival fee of $100.00 per group after 10:30 P.M. or for double pick-ups.
